Whether your party has a risqué tone to it, or is more on the dignified side, you need to keep in mind that not all your guests will know each other.One thing that all the guests at your event will have in common is that they know the bride and/or groom – so trivia games about the couple should be fun for all.In the next few paragraphs, you’ll find suggestions on structuring the games, the questions you can ask, and the prizes you can award.

How Much Do You Know About the Bride/Couple

One idea is to create a multiple-choice or short-answer quiz which you can hand out as people arrive for them to fill out at their leisure.These questions can be only about the bride (What sport did Anne play?  What is Anne’s favorite movie?Who was Anne’s first kiss?), or about the couple (Where did James take Anne on their first date?What did James bring as a gift on their first date? ).One option is for you to take everyone’s quizzes and “grade” them yourself, or (which is more fun), give each guest someone else’s quiz and then go around to see who answered the most correctly.

You can also meet with the groom a few days before the party and have him answer questions that you think the bride might be able to answer, too.During the party, place the bride in the middle of the room and have her answer the same questions that you asked her fiancee; you then announce the answers provided by her fiancée.  This can result in some flattering surprises for the bride, and if a question is particularly interesting or controversial, gives her the chance to tell anecdotes.Who was James’s college roommate?What does James most admire about you?

What Questions Should I Ask

Don’t forget about the party’s tone and your guests.A bachelorette party is simply not the same as a bridal shower.Try to save the “frisky” or more personal questions for events where most of the guests are quite close to the bride.  If it’s something you wouldn’t want your boyfriend or husband’s grandmother to know, don’t subject your friend to that embarrassment.Your goal should be to make sure all your guests are having fun – neither thinking “this is way more than I needed to know” nor “this is so G-rated I feel like I’m in a Disney movie”. There are many things you could try for your shower and they might include baby shower decoration ideas, baby shower hostess gifts or baby shower favors.

Think of some Good Prizes!

Again, it is important to award prizes that fit with the theme of the party and the tastes of your guests.  The following options can all be purchased for less than ten dollars each, and often much cheaper.If your event is not of the “naughty” variety, you can still choose prizes which are a tiny bit sexy, such as fragrant bubble bath or an assortment of chocolates.In the case that your event is more spirited in nature, you can give more risqué items as awards, such as a feather boa or small sex toy.
